I figured this may be a good way to kick off this board. If you have carnivorous plants, if you like carnivorous plants or even if you barely know what a carnivorous plant is, feel free to share which one or ones are either the favorites of your collection or just one you have always loved to look at.
I'll start the ball rolling.
My fave CP's are my Nepenthes ventrata, and I think my Sarracenia Rubra. Both plants are just beautiful pieces of my collection and they just keep growing well for me.

Don't have any single favorite, i like them all. But if i had to narrow it down to any particular group of carnivores, i would go for the sarracenias, especially flava. Sundews are nice too; nothing like the glint of sunlight on a dew-loaded plant. Then there are the tooth lined mouths of the venus' flytrap and the ornate pitchers of Nepenthes and the interesting leaves of the Pings............

I just got some pygmy sundews and I love em. They're great little plants.

I may have just lost my mind. You'll notice by the date on this entry that its still January. Since Christmas I've more than doubled my collection. In the last 7 days alone, I ordered 6 Nepenthes 6 Sarracenia and a corkskrew plant. The power of the net is a wonderfull and terrible thing LOL. I've added so many plants to my collection lately that I don't think I'm going to get away with not getting rid of a couple. So, if you're new to the hobby or just want an extra plant, send me an email (aracknight@aol.com) and ask if I still have any extra plants. (I may find homes for them in a day or it may take me a year... who knows)

Well, I finally got a hamata. Cute little guy, 4 pitchers. I'm looking forward to seeing how big and beautiful it gets.

I just received three Drosera graminifolia. Two which are doing well. I always do everything in set of three. All of them are in a pot resting in rain water. The one which is giving me trouble is turning black and drying up. May be to much sun light. I also have a Drosera capensis growing in the same area as the D. gramininfolia. The D.capensis is digesting a moth which flew in the house. Do you think I should move my D. graminifolia to a shaded spot with a grow light? All together I have like three glass tanks just to adapt for just such an emergency. Thanks, Kyddoe. Kyddoemiko@yahoo.com

I like all three of those. I must admit I typically look for harder to aquire species but when the day is done a good hardy nep is still quite attractive and easier to care for. :-)
About the graminifolia, I'd personally move it, but it may be a simple climate adapatation issue, give it time and it may turn out fine.
